How do the panelists feel about school sponsored vs. non-school sponsored trips? Is a summer 2021 trip more likely if no school is missed and if money is collected directly by the tour company?

Through a recent poll regarding travel to Florida in the spring of 2021, 95% of the parents opted to delay until 2022. This school is located in Michigan.

some of the student and adult TOs I work with are already talking about providing a “wellness agent” to be on all in case quarantine is needed (for any of the guests/tourists).

Question if there’s time at the end: Is there anything that can/should be done for students who have missed out on big trips - especially if they’re in their senior year and can’t just go next year?

I’m in training for my NYC contact and trace position that starts in 2 weeks. From the little I have already read leads me to believe

...when it is safe to visit the various destinations(according to the various destinations local God’s direction, all parties will feel safe and ready to travel.

...Oops for my typo, I meant gov’s NOTGod’s direction.

vaccines NOT available for students to date. They have not been tested per Dr. Fauci…. it will most likely be a year later.

How do you plan to get around the city if you fly in?

Sounds like Ryan is willing to drive down with the students so the teachers can fly! Now THAT is service!

It seems like one thing that could help alleviate parents’ fears is some data or even anecdotal stories about how schools have already gone on trips without anyone getting COVID, using the proper precautions. Does anything like that exist?

Try getting off a plane if health problems. And flying back it infected since testing will probably be more available. Motorcoaches seem safer.

I would encourage you to also reach out to the CVB/DMO the tourism bureaus for the destination - we are here to povide you with as much information as we can about everything going on in our area! I'm with the DMO for Montgomery County, MD - outside of DC.

Would it be reasonable to tell parents that should their student test positive on a trip, they would be responsible for picking them up? Or, would a teacher need to stay behind with the kid until they are cleared to travel?
